Consistency is achieved with proactivity

It's the funniest thing that the more strategic someone acts, the more the actions are perceived as arbitrary and chaotic from the outside. Consistency is typically achieved on an abstract level. Daily actions may be counter-intuitive to common sense, but perfectly in line when you oversee the bigger picture.
You achieve consistency by first defining your strategy. And then selecting the actions that you expect to best fit that strategy. This ensures you are making deliberate choices of how you are achieving your strategic goals. Also it will separate you from those who are headlessly changing direction almost haphazardly, based on daily changing news. Keep in mind that reacting to changing circumstances can be part of the process for selecting actions, but most often it is in fact nothing more than reacting. Consistency is achieved with proactivity.
